Chronoscape does one thing the others don't: it follows the current weather as well as the time of day. That's the reason to choose it. It also lacks plenty that they have, and the pages below say so — including the cases where you should buy theirs instead.

Chronoscape vs 24 Hour Wallpaper
The closest app to ours in spirit, and the fairest fight. Both follow your real sunrise and sunset; only Chronoscape follows the weather. They have on-location photography and 100+ locations, we don't — but their current version needs macOS 15 and ours runs on 14. Read the comparison →
